History: According to Annie Sloan, the industrial style started with artists, printmakers and writers moving into industrial warehouses in New York & London in the mid-1960's.

Elements of Design: "Rustic Luxe" or "rough luxe" elements include lots of textured natural elements including reclaimed wood, concrete, brick & stone, sisal, and leather. Mix textures with refined elements of glass, metal and bright, contemporary wall art.

Colours: Blues and Greys...Greek Blue, Country Grey, French Linen, Paris Grey toned with Graphite or tinted with Pure White.  Accent colors: Graphite, Emperors Silk and English Yellow.
